Google My Business (GMB) has shut down their toll-free number for customer support. You’ll no longer be able to call the GMB peeps and talk with a live person.
According to Google, “We’ve removed toll free customer support numbers from the Google My Business homepage. If you call one of the existing numbers, you’ll be directed to the Google My Business Help Center for a more personalized and efficient help experience.
“You’ll still be able to request a toll free call from a support specialist under the ‘Contact Us’ options in the Google My Business Help Center.”
The work-around for this is to go to the following page and fill out the form for a call back from a GMB support specialist. https://support.google.com/business/contact/business_other_problem
My speculation is that Google’s GMB is gearing up to offer paid subscription services in the future and the toll free number with direct access to a real person will be a part of the new offerings.
