Anaheim May Officially Designate Little Arabia District

Anaheim Little Arabia Sign

A business enclave in Anaheim wants to be recognized as “Little Arabia” calling attention to the contributions from this ethic group in Orange County.

The bill is being introduced in the state legislature by Republican state senator Ling Ling Chang.

Orange County currently recognizes two other ethnic business areas including Little Saigon and Koreatown. If the bill goes through, highway signs and other promotions will point a wider audience to Little Arabia, increasing business.

The Los Angeles Times refers to the history of this section of Anaheim, “According to Al-Dabbagh, what was then known as Little Gaza began in the 1980s with a Middle Eastern grocery store, and during the 1990s, the area gradually attracted other restaurants, cafes, bakeries and hookah bars, as well as social service organizations and community groups to assist a growing immigrant population.

“By 2010, he said, the name of the district shifted to Little Arabia to reflect the diversity of the population, which now includes Palestinians, Lebanese, Egyptians, Jordanians, Yemenis, Iraqis and Syrians.”

With increased business comes the increased need for SEO in Anaheim. And as a reader of this site you’ll know right where to go for these services.
